    I bought a franchise for £200 from Banana Shack with the promise that they were expecting 5 million members of the site by the end of 2008 and that I would be earning £80,000 per year by the end of year one. What a fool I was!

    The site has virtually zero traffic, next to zero sales. It is a one-man business operated from a small semi-detached house in Fleet, Hampshire. The whole operation operates on a shoestring budget. All advertising is on free sites (such as Gumtree). They advertsised for staff via government JobCentres (again free) and only pay commission (no basic wage).

    Banana Shakc were looking thousands of sales staff nationwide but have none. The national sales director left, as did all the area sales managers, because the site was not making any income.

    Do NOT buy a franchise from the company you will regret it!

    On Shobby there is a tick against the claim that Banana Shack use a secure payments system. That claim is false.

    When you order goods, the site is not secure (no padlock symbol). This means your credit cards details can be compromised. So, I abanadoned my order before it was complete.
