doesn't recommend Dixons

bought: DIX1101737124 Samsung Plasma 3D HDTV
My set went faulty on the 28th day after it was delivered as a Christmas present (and so 21 days after Christmas) and I reported it the very next day as it went faulty on a Sunday. I was initially offered a replacement as it was within the appropriate period but 2 days later this was cancelled and now I have to wait for it to be taken away for at least 7 days for repair. It has taken a week to reach this stage and so far this collection hasn't even been arranged. Is this an improvement in Dixons after sales service?
